Terms of participation

These are the terms of taking part in a Hot Peps product test. Nothing is sold here and there is no account to close, so this is short.

Taking part is voluntary

You can stop at any time, for any reason, without explaining yourself. There is no penalty and nothing to return. Tell us and we will stop sending you check-in reminders.

The product is a development sample

It is not a finished retail product, and it is provided free. It is yours to keep. It is a cosmetic — this is a structured consumer-use test, not a clinical trial, and we make no medical claims about it.

What we ask of you

• Use the product as directed, and complete the check-ins.
• Take the photos in similar light each time, and tell us what you actually see — including nothing yet and I do not like this. We are not asking for positive feedback, and a test where everyone is polite tells us nothing.
• Do not start other new skincare during the test, so that what you report can be attributed to the product rather than to something else.
• Keep your observations to yourself until you have finished. If two testers compare notes we lose the value of both.

Safety

External use only. If anything stings, burns or reacts, stop using it and tell us — there is a reaction link on every screen of the portal and it reaches a person. If you report a significant reaction we pause your remaining check-ins until someone has looked at it.

We do not diagnose anything. If you are worried about a reaction, contact a healthcare professional.

Your link is yours

The QR code and link on your kit are how the portal knows who you are. Anyone who opens your link is treated as you, so do not post it or forward it. Tell us if you lose it and we will issue a new one.

Your photos and recordings

They stay internal. They are never published or used in marketing unless you separately say yes, in writing, and declining changes nothing about your part in the test. What we collect and how to have it deleted is in the privacy notice.

If anything here differs from the consent wording you agreed to in the portal, the consent wording is the one that counts — it is recorded with the version and date you accepted.
